Register by June 20th and you will be automatically entered into our drawing to win a free trip in 2014. Choose between a week of spring training in Tucson Arizona, or a week of spring training in Mallorca, Spain. Each trip will include hotel accommodations for 7 days and 6 nights, breakfast and dinner every day, daily supported and guided bike rides and personalized training programs. We'll pick you up at the airport when you arrive, and return you to the airport for your flight home, but airfare is not included.

Individual Fee: $60 until 7/17 and $80 on race day. Tandem Fee: $80 until 7/17 and $100 on race day. Jr’s - $20.

RACE DAY DISCLAIMER/Cancellation Policy: We will delay the start time, postpone or cancel the race if the following conditions are reported on the road or summit on the morning of the event, HIGH WINDS or HARD DRIVING RAIN or anything that has the potential for an un safe event. We will stop the race if conditions are deemed unsafe for the riders in the race. We will not cancel the race for "uncomfortable" conditions.
Race day registration and number pick up opens at 7:30AM
Course is open to riders and cars driving to the finish from 7:30 - 8:50AM. The course will close to all traffic promptly at 8:50AM
Drop bags (with clothes, water bottles, etc) can be left at the registration table by 8:50AM to be transported to the finish line
Race starts at 9:00AM with waves (based on age category) going off in 3 min increments.
No riders or vehicles will be allowed back down the course until the last rider has finished (approx 10:30AM)
Awards ceremony at the base after the race. Yummy food will be provided.
Racers should plan to bike back down the mountain or else need to arrange their own rides down from the top of the mountain ($3 per vehicle to drive up). Car pooling is strongly encouraged!
Schedule & Details
Ascend 2300' in 3.7 miles on an entirely paved course. Average Grade 12%. Some sections in excess of 19%. Approximate 1:1 gear ratio is recommended. One water station will be available halfway through the course.Course available for inspection and test riding during park season ($3 day use fee applies).
New for 2013 - Helmets are mandatory for both the race and if you ride back down to the base. Use caution when descending. Stop frequently to let your brakes and rims cool. Letting a little air out if your tires before starting the ride down the mountain is recommended.
Categories & Prizes
Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded for the overall top 3 men and women finishers. 1st Place $150, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $50. Prizes will also be awarded to the top finisher in each age category.
- Age Category - Men & Women: 15-17,18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+, Tandem Team, Clydesdale & Filly.
- Cash & Prizes will be awarded at the base after the race.
